The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Havana, in cooperation with the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) (Ministry of Sports) celebrated today Tuesday the National Sports Day of Qatar, which consisted of different activities, games and sport competition. The event was assisted by representatives of the Cuban ministries of Sport and Foreign Affairs and the embassy´ staff.

The Sports activity was as follows: With the participation of two groups of people: 1. The elderly of the home senior care: With this category there was sports activities that are specific for them (basketball, different balls on the ball).

2. Youth: This category which is composed of professional athletes from Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Sciences and Sports who practice all types of sports permanently known as FITCUBA and is a acronym for (strength, persistence, work and time), where they displayed their physical capabilities (forearms, legs, speed, All body muscles etc).

The entire embassy staff also participated in these sporting activities with the rest of the participants from the two aforementioned categories.
