Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister announces that Qatar pledges $ 10 million to the World Health Organization to combat the pandemic (Covid 19)

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani announced the commitment of the State of Qatar to donate $ 10 million to the World Health Organization to support rapid access to equipment for testing, treatment and supply an emerging coronavirus vaccine (Covid-19), in addition to his $ 20 million contribution to the Global Alliance for Vaccines (GAVI).
The State of Qatar expressed its gratitude to the European Commission and the Global Citizen Campaign for their leadership in launching the aforementioned campaign.
His Excellency stated that it is now necessary to duplicate international support and political commitment to ensure that virus testing and treatment is achieved for all.
