Doha, March 30

The State of Qatar strongly condemns the use of bullets by the Israeli occupying forces in the face of peaceful demonstrations in the Gaza Strip, on the anniversary of the Land Day, which led to the death of a number of martyrs and hundreds of wounded Palestinians.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers Israel's dangerous military escalation to be a flagrant violation of international conventions and laws. It calls on the international community and the Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities, and to put an end to the Israeli war machine and the collective punishment policy of the occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

The Ministry affirms the support of the State of Qatar for the brotherly Palestinian people, and stresses its enjoyment of all its inalienable rights, including the right of return.

The Foreign Ministry reaffirms Qatar's firm and permanent position in support of the Palestinian cause, and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people to ensure the establishment of an independent state on the base of the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
