Mr. Ghanim Essa Alghanim, the Third Secretary of the Embassy, took part in the opening ceremony of the Medical Center for Disabled Services in Cuba (La Edad de Oro) on Monday, 3 December 2018, for which His Highness Emir father Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani contributed with € 1 million. Mr. Al-Ghanim received a recognition certificate from the Ministry of Health officials in recognition of this humanitarian assistance. The ceremony was attended by the Cuban Minister of Health, the President of the Havana Provincial Government, the President of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party in Havana Province, the President of the Center, among other medical personalities, and doctors.
