H.E. Minister of State Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Kuwari delivered a lecture at the Fourth Conference for World Balance in Havana, 28-31 January 2019.H.E. started by mentioning the honorable victory of the Qatari football team, which was received with a huge applause and words of congratulation by the audience. Then H.E. covered the following aspects:
- The importance of José Martí and his literary work at a global level.
- How the Cuban hero is admired by the Arabs and their culture.
- The presence of international personalities in this meeting, which includes the academic field, scientific and cultural arena, and representatives of non-governmental organizations and several other diverse institutions.
- The interest of the conference concerns youth issues.
- Everyone should work to build a world for the benefit of future generations.
- The role of cultural diplomacy in spreading the concepts of peace, solidarity, fraternal understanding, mutual respect and equality among all human beings.
- The world is full of violence, brutality, hatred, extremism, submission, etc. We must fight it with means that lead to peace, solidarity, fraternity, understanding and mutual respect.
- His own experience as a diplomat and former Minister of Culture and his current position to defend the concepts mentioned above.
- The relevant role of organizations, such as the Latin American Organization for Education, Science and Culture, and UNESCO.
- The importance of the State of Qatar in achieving peace and friendship among peoples, through culture (World Cup 2022, institutions like Katara, Qatar Foundation, Education Above All).
